William Griffiths


Will is passionate about the UK’s public services and has spent the last 15 years, as he describes it: “Helping them improve by finding great people to help run them.” A senior interim finance specialist, his entire recruitment career has been spent working closely with the public sector organisations of the West Midlands and North West.

He worked in marketing and promotions, as an event manager, for a couple of years after university, joining a recruitment business, in Manchester, after being offered a role at the end of a candidate registration interview (it was clearly easier than finding him a new event-management job!).

Part of our North of England public services team, Will has worked with Eric and JP for 12 years. As highly experienced sector experts with a strong regional focus, over many years, they are exceptionally well networked. Each offers a complementary specialism and skillset and although very different in their approaches, rarely disagree on the right solution to a challenge.

Much of Will’s career has been focused on the NHS – managing relationships with the executive boards of the full spectrum of NHS bodies. That said, his expertise extends across the whole of the public sector, with a particular interest in higher education. Always looking to develop personally and as a team, Will is currently working towards a CIPD qualification as he continues to build HR expertise to ensure he is best positioned to support his clients, candidates and colleagues.

A coffee-loving, aspirant rock star and pro-cyclist, Will’s all about the gear! A try-hard dad to two young boys, at weekends the family is usually out and about exploring the green spaces of England and Wales, cramming in as much cycling (and the odd craft beer) as possible. Did we mention, he loves coffee!?… Really good coffee… (And the associated paraphernalia, of course!)
